Baker Tilly Ireland announces two partner promotions and two senior hires

We are pleased to announce a number of senior appointments.

The firm has promoted Tomás O'Leary and Eilish Haughton to partner, and welcomed Mary Moran as the new Private Client Tax Director and Melissa Markgraf as the new Indirect Tax Manager.

Tomás O'Leary has been with Baker Tilly Ireland, formerly Roberts Nathan, for more than 11 years. Having joined the firm as an Audit Senior in 2015, he progressed through management and director roles and has played a key role in supporting clients across a broad range of sectors. Prior to joining the firm, he worked with Crowley & McCarthy Chartered Accountants.

Eilish Haughton has over 15 years' experience in audit and assurance services. She joined Baker Tilly Ireland in 2020 as Audit Director and has been instrumental in leading client engagements and developing teams across the business. Prior to joining the firm, she held senior leadership roles with Grant Thornton Ireland and EY.

The firm has also made two strategic new hires.

Mary Moran joins Baker Tilly with more than 15 years of experience in taxation, specialising in private client tax planning, succession planning and inheritance tax matters. She joins from Grant Thornton Ireland, where she spent almost 12 years advising high-net-worth individuals, business owners and families on complex tax issues. Prior to this, she held senior tax roles with Azets Ireland, Smith & Williamson and Warren & Partners.

Melissa Markgraf joins as Indirect Tax Manager, bringing experience across VAT and indirect tax advisory services. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, she worked with Purcell McQuillan Tax Partners, progressing from trainee accountant to tax advisor. Earlier in her career, she worked as an Immigration Analyst with Deloitte.
