At Baker Tilly Ireland, it is not about your background or where you have been, it is about where you are going. Our assessment process is designed to bring out the best in you. It is a chance not only for us to see how you could fit in here, but also for you to make sure we are the right fit for you. 

Our five-step assessment process looks beyond technical skills and focuses on your potential and ambition. During the assessment process, we will be looking at how you demonstrate our STAR values of service, teamwork, attitude and relationships. Our values guide the way we work, the way we support our colleagues, and the way we serve our clients. They are at the heart of how we grow and succeed.

Step 1

Step 1: It’s time to apply!

After exploring our roles and finding the one that feels right for you, submit your application online. Take a moment to make sure your CV is up to date so we can see your most recent achievements and experience.

Step 2

Step 2: Numerical & verbal assessment

Once step 1 is complete, you will be invited to take our numerical and verbal assessment. This is your chance to show how you express your ideas clearly, communicate effectively with others, and break down information. Beforehand, we will provide you with a practice example so you can familiarise yourself with how it works. 

Step 3

Step 3: Our assessment centre

Our assessment centre is your opportunity to show us how you work as part of a team and to demonstrate your communication and problem-solving skills. You will take part in tasks and have the chance to meet some of our team, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about life at Baker Tilly. 

Step 4

Step 4: Your Interview

This is your opportunity to show us who you are, what you stand for, your ambitions, and the strengths and experiences you bring. An interview is a two-way process. Not only do we want to get to know you better, but we also make sure to leave time at the end for you to ask us any questions you may have about us. Choosing the right employer for you is an important decision, and we want to help you feel confident in making it.

Step 5: Offer Accepted… Welcome to the team!

Congratulations! If you are offered a role with us, you will be invited to our induction alongside the other students joining the firm. The induction is designed to welcome you to Baker Tilly, help you get ready to hit the ground running, introduce you to your new colleagues, and celebrate the beginning of an exciting journey.
