PRESS: Dublin, 9th August

Baker Tilly Ireland is proud to announce a three-year sponsorship deal with Kilmacud Crokes’ All-Ireland Camogie 7s.

The Baker Tilly All-Ireland Camogie 7s will be hosted by Kilmacud Crokes on Saturday 7th September, the day before the Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Camogie Finals in Croke Park.

Now in its 46th year, the competition has on average 50 teams from clubs across the country participating – many of whom include past and present county players.

Alma O’Brien, Partner and Head of Tax, Baker Tilly Ireland said: “It is a privilege to be associated with a competition that celebrates resilience, inclusivity and team spirit in action. The drive, commitment and comradery exemplified by everyone involved embodies our firm’s core values and is at the heart of what we are about. On behalf of everyone at Baker Tilly, we wish the players and clubs the best of luck and to all those attending on the day, we hope you enjoy the excitement and energy of camogie at its best.”

Rita Ní Chonaill, Chairperson of the Camogie section in Kilmacud Crokes added: “We are very grateful to Baker Tilly for coming on board as the new sponsor for our annual Camogie 7s event. Their sponsorship will help us to ensure that our competition continues to go from strength to strength and reflects the welcome and fantastic surge in interest and support for female sports that we in the camogie community believe the quality and skill of the games merit. I look forward to welcoming clubs and spectators from across Ireland and beyond to Stillorgan in September.”

As well as the hundreds of participating players, this much-anticipated social event attracts nationwide and international attention and is one not to be missed.

Starting at 10:30am, the group stage matches will be held across three pitch venues in the Stillorgan area and from 2pm onwards, the final rounds will take place at Páirc de Burca, Kilmacud Crokes’ home pitch. There will also be a juvenile camogie blitz and Puc Fada competition for the U12s.

Baker Tilly is a professional services firm which provides audit, tax and advisory services to family businesses since 1916. One of Ireland’s fastest growing firms, Baker Tilly is headquartered in Dublin with an office in the South East.
